Helping to meet immediate, one-time needs for people in Galveston County is what sets our organization apart. We strengthen our community and raise awareness of the daily struggles that some residents face by encouraging leadership and professional networking among our members and the business community. By providing funds and resources to help our neighbors get back on their feet or deal with a crisis, CAPGAL helps people build a better life today and provides hope for the future of Galveston County residents.
How Does Someone Request Assistance?
A request for assistance can only be submitted by a current member of CAPGAL. Through networks built with case managers, social workers and local businesses, CAPGAL members can help directly address the immediate needs of people in crisis. Requests for assistance are reviewed by the CAPGAL board and a decision is made quickly, based on the organization’s by-laws and established guidelines. Requests are evaluated on a case by case basis and are approved as funds are available. Click here to make a request.
